Welcome to Houlton School

Houlton School is a brand-new, 11-18 secondary academy that will open its doors to Year 7 students for the first time in September 2021. We are situated on the new Houlton development on the eastern edge of Rugby, occupying the historic site of the former Rugby Radio Station – part of Rugby’s heritage.

At Houlton School your child can expect to receive a world class education delivered by exceptional teachers within brand new, state-of-the-art facilities.

A member of the Transforming Lives Educational Trust (TLET), Houlton School has been established by the same team as our other highly successful, oversubscribed academy, Ashlawn School. Therefore, you can be assured that your child’s education is in the best possible hands with us.

  • “To be the founding Principal of a school so resolutely focused on serving its immediate community was an opportunity too enticing to pass up. I feel incredibly privileged to have been entrusted with leading Houlton and welcoming Rugby’s children to our brand new Houlton family.”

Virtual Open Evening

Owing to the impact of coronavirus, all secondary schools in Rugby will not be able to hold face-to-face open evenings for Year 6 pupils considering entry to Year 7 in September 2021. For the same reason, it will not be possible to offer tours of our schools to groups of any size. Instead, all schools will release online materials during the autumn term through their websites. To help you find out more about our school, we have prepared two videos so you can meet our Principal Designate and find out more about our exciting community in our FAQs film.
