Why join the Houlton family?
Wanting to Make a Difference
At Houlton School, our ethos is underpinned by our three pillars of ‘Innovation, Aspiration and Excellence’. From these, we formed our mission statement:
To prepare pupils for the challenges and opportunities of their future lives through a world class curriculum, transformational learning experiences and the promotion of aspiration and excellence in all aspects of the school experience: once they have joined our Houlton family, pupils will enjoy the proud legacy of being members of our community for life.
In order to achieve this mission, we aim to be:
- Excellent in our provision of transformational learning experiences;
- Excellent in our expectations for, and from, every pupil;
- Excellent in tending to our Houlton family relationships;
- Excellent in our attention to detail in all that we do; and
- Excellent in our recognition and celebration of all that our Houlton family does well.
A Supportive Family Environment
We are a dedicated team comprised of parents, carers, pupils, staff and the friends of Houlton School. You’ll join a robust and hardworking group of colleagues, with warmth and endeavour at the heart of our approach: truly, a Houlton ‘family’.
You will be offered regular training opportunities to further improve your skills, and you will have access to expert support from the Transforming Lives Educational Trust (TLET). We work with a range of providers to support your career-stage needs and aspirations, including ECM consultants, Challenge Partners, university Masters programmes, the NASENCo Award and NPQ programmes. Our academy prides itself on spotting potential and supporting colleagues to realise this. Being proud members of TLET also provides a range of opportunities to further development across the Trust.
If you need more information about Houlton School, or would like to arrange a visit before applying to join us, please email Georgette Weil (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call us on 01788 532 828.
Any offer of appointment will be conditional upon a variety of pre-employment checks including enhanced DBS disclosure and satisfactory references.
The Transforming Lives Educational Trust (TLET) and its academies are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
